MARIETTA, Ga. -- A man was found shot to death in the middle of a car wash bay in Marietta on Monday, according to the police department.
Marietta Police said shortly after 8 p.m., Cobb County 911 dispatch notified them that a man was found lying on the ground at the car wash at 1250 Bellemeade Drive.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found the man shot. The police department said EMS tried to give the man medical attention, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police identified the man as 59-year-old Daniel Lanard Richardson Jr. of Marietta.
The Marietta Police Department said its investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is asked to call the police department immediately. You can also submit an anonymous tip with CrimeStoppers Greater Atlanta.
