Willy Adames left a lasting legacy with the Milwaukee Brewers.
He set the franchise single-season home run record for a shortstop twice, breaking his own record from 2022 this past season with 32 homers. He was voted team MVP twice. And Adames' 13 three-run homers in 2024 tied Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. for the MLB single-season record.
He was a clubhouse spark from the moment he arrived through trade in 2021, respected leader with a joyful personality that fans in Milwaukee got behind immediately and gravitated toward. He anchored the infield and was a key contributor to three NL Central championship and playoff teams in his four seasons with the Brewers.
But Adames' time with the Brewers has ended. The beloved shortstop, not surprisingly, left Milwaukee in free agency on Saturday for a massive payday with the San Francisco Giants.
Brewers fans knew the day was coming -- it's the continued life of a small market team -- and while many on social media were sad, they appreciated Adames for all that he meant to the franchise.
Take a trip down memory lane from Adames' final season in Milwaukee, a year in which he finished 10th in NL MVP voting.
