As expected, Netflix's telecast of the Canelo vs. Crawford fight took the top spot on the streamer's weekly Top 10 English TV list from September 8 through 14 with 17.7M views. Considering the live event took place Saturday night, that's quite an impressive tally.
Netflix reported Monday that the fight scored an estimated average minute audience of 36.6M global viewers from opening to closing bell, per a combination of internal data and live + same-day data from VideoAmp. On its weekly reports, the streamer uses hours viewed divided by runtime to get an estimate of the audience, which explains the discrepancy.

That's a pretty strong showing for the fight, marking yet another success for Netflix in the live events space. Compare that to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, which scored 46.6M views in its opening weekend but had an additional day to do so.
Wednesday came in a close second for the week with another 15M views following the release of more Season 2 episodes. The second season officially made it onto Netflix's most popular TV list during this interval. Having surpassed 95M views since its release, Season 2 sits in tenth place on the all-time list, which is now bookended by Wednesday (Season 1 is at the top of the list).
Given that Season 2B just premiered, there is plenty of time for the season to climb up the most popular list. We expect that it will, though there has definitely been a bit of a decline in viewership between seasons, so it's unlikely that Season 2 will eclipse its predecessor.
Elsewhere in TV, the sophomore season of Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black came in third place with 8.7M views, while Season 2 of My Life with the Walter Boys took home 5.2M, putting it at No. 4.
On the film side of things, Kpop Demon Hunters is still on an unprecedented run. It generated another 22.6M views during this interval, which is just a slight drop from the previous six or so weeks. As a reminder, Netflix is combining viewership for the singalong version and the original, which is surely boosting the total, though it's hard to overstate just how well this film is doing. Netflix has certainly never seen anything like it on the platform before, regardless of previous successes.
