Our second named winter storm of the week is spreading across Northeast Wisconsin this morning, and it'll have much of the area needing shovels and snowblowers to clean up in its wake.
Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for almost all of our area, with only a few of our farthest northwestern counties under Winter Weather Advisories.
Look for Green Bay to end up with 5 to 7 inches of snowfall by the time Sunday morning arrives. The Fox Cities and Fox Valley likely see more like 6 to 9 inches of snow.
Lakeshore counties and spots south of Oshkosh could see the highest totals, with 7 to 10 inches here, and some isolated 12" amounts are even possible along the lake.
Bands of lake enhanced snow will be culprit behind any of those isolated highest totals.
The snow starts as light snow this morning as it moves in from the south. It becomes steadier and heavier this afternoon, with the heaviest snow likely falling between 3 p.m. and midnight tonight.
After midnight, the snow showers start to taper and it ends as a few flurries early Sunday morning.
Winds behind Beau turn to the north-northwest and could gust to 30 miles per hour on Sunday, so blowing snow could be a problem on exposed roads, especially those that run east-west.
This wind also drags in much colder air with highs only near 20 on Monday and Tuesday with morning wind chills each day dipping below zero.
