Justin Thomas takes a hilarious dig at Xander Schauffele's performance at the Skins game

Justin Thomas was scheduled to take part in the 2025 Skins Game, but had to step away from the opportunity to heal from his back surgery. Even though he was not present at Panther National this Friday, he tuned in to watch on his television at home.

Following the conclusion of the Skins Game, the American golfer poked fun at his fellow PGA Tour competitor's performance. Xander Schauffele struggled to hole putts on the challenging greens at Pather National, a golf course designed by Thomas and Jack Nicklaus. As a result, he won zero skins and made no money from the game.

Thomas asked his 789.7 thousand followers on X (formerly known as Twitter) to like his post on the platform if they won the same amount of skins as Schauffele. Here's a look at what the 32-year-old had to say (via X @JustinThomas34):

"Like this message if you won the same amount of skins as @XSchauffele today @the_skins_game 🤣 love you brother!!!"

In a video message on his social media platforms, Justin Thomas revealed that he underwent surgery. Having experienced some hip pain, he took some time off to rest. However, it resulted in the professional golfer experiencing more pain and discomfort.

His team of doctors diagnosed him with a spinal disk issue that needed a microdiscectomy. Here's a look at what Justin Thomas had to say about his journey battling with his injury (via PGA Tour):

"Life update - I've had some nagging hip pain for a handful of months and after some time off and worsening symptoms, an MRI showed I had a disc problem that needed to be treated. I had a successful microdiscectomy performed yesterday at Hospital for Special Surgery in NY and have already been released from the hospital. I'm so grateful to the doctors and staff there for all their hard work and support. My next few weeks will be a lot of resting before the rehab process begins. I have a great team behind me who I fully trust to get me back to a better place than I was before!"

Thomas also took the opportunity to say that he is not placing any timeline on his recovery. Determined to heal his injury properly so it will not affect him later in his career, he stated that he will miss a few tournaments at the beginning of the 2026 season.
