Tell Princess to boil Baba Ijesha for breakfast

In the eight chapter of the Book of John, we read of an encounter between Jesus, an adulterous woman, and a gang of self-righteous rogues. The woman had been caught "in the very act" and the judges were set to stone her to death. But they were in grievous error. Under the Torah, a man and woman caught in adultery were to be stoned to death, but in this case, the accusers, each of whom had a biography of terrible deeds, wanted to punish only the woman. But the real point is this: the woman who was struggling with sin was a seed of God, and had divine pardon. The Bible says that if God would mark sin, then who can stand? It also says that God does not want the death of a sinner, only repentance. However, if you hear the way some people speak on social media, you would shudder! Enter the Nollywood actresses, Damilola Adekoya (Princess) and Iyabo Ojo.

As humans, we all have weaknesses. The Yoruba have a proverb: "Konko jabele, kaluku lo n se tie," meaning that there is no perfect person. They have another proverb: You said that a thief should run and he complied; you said he should drop what he stole and he did. Then what else do you want him to do? So what do the persecutors of the Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, a.k.a Baba Ijesha, actually want?

Here are the facts of the case. This so-called princess accused Baba Ijesha of raping her foster child at the age of seven, and she then set up a trap, invited the actor to her house, and recorded a video of him fondling the girl. When I read this story and saw how the Lagos State government and many public commentators handled it, I surmised that we indeed inhabit an insane world, because Madam Princes is the first person that should have been locked up! You claimed that a child had been previously violated, and you then recreated that scenario? It's like saying a terrorist shot a child in the past, then years later you placed her in the same terrorist's line of fire, so you could catch him (the terrorist). If the child was hers, would she treat her that way? No wonder the Yoruba say Ika o je se tie be. (The wicked person will never handle his/her own case in that manner).

Now, in court, the charge of rape, which was apparently made up, was not proved, but the court found the actor guilty of charges relating only to the things captured on video, and convicted him accordingly. And then having served his time, the convict was released. But rather than shut her gutter mouth, Madam Princess went on a rant on social media, basically suggesting that Baba Ijesha be taken out of this world. I hate to pollute my page with garbage, but let's present a few of her words (the queries in brackets are mine): "The good news is that Baba Ijesha had dozens of victims during investigations (Who carried out these investigations?). I spoke and met with about 12 of his victims (Who/where are they?). So the first news is that at least those of his victims who couldn't speak out, I know that on one side, some of them feel as if maybe they got little justice because we (who are the we?) all know Baba Ijesha should be behind bars for life. The number two is for the few years that he was incarcerated; there were no new victims, at least from him...The third upside is that now everyone is aware. So, when they see him, they know they'll be careful. You know what to do if you own a school and see Baba Ijesha around your premises. Hotels, because he's a known serial pedophile and serial rapist."

This is worse than what the Yoruba call "noise in the mouth of Vendor." It is lunatic gibberish. A convicted serial rapist would be sentenced to life imprisonment: it is clear that this individual is more confused than confusion. How can anyone sound so brainless just for social media validation? Iyabo Ojo, the social media misfit who made many videos accusing the singer, Naira Marley, of killing his protege, Mohbad, but resorted to a groveling apology when she faced the prospect of prosecution, promised to send the actor back to prison once released, boasting "I will sell my house for that purpose." Well, Iyabo, it is time to put that house up sale and send Baba Ijesha back to prison. Since you openly confessed having powers to send people to jail, can you please tell Nigerians how many times you and your cohorts have used such powers?

During the Mohbad case, these social media monsters basically destroyed the musician, Naira Marley, with their relentless persecution, diverting attention away from the real suspects. They habitually insert themselves into stories without having the slightest interest in justice. I addressed this malady in my piece, The Mohbad mob, written in the thick of the brainless onslaughts on Naira Marley.

In 2007, the Nollywood actress, Taiwo Akinwande (Yetunde Wunmi), was convicted of drug trafficking in this country, but no one called for her funeral. Unlike Wunmi, Baba Ijesha actually served time. So when you go after him, suggesting that he should be sent back to prison and ostracized from society, you prove that what you are after is personal vendetta, not justice. This is the kind of lunacy I addressed in The Seun Kuti overkill (May 20, 2023). Many of the would-be executors of Baba Ijesha are wild animals in their private life, yet they pretend to be holier than everyone else. What a bunch of depraved characters! Now that Baba Ijesha is out of jail, the princess of bitterness still wants him destroyed. Haba! No wonder the Yoruba say that an envy-propelled war never ends easily (Ija ilara o tan boro).

How do you harangue someone who has already been punished for his/her crime? And who are you to denounce anyone with a contrary opinion? My advice to my readers: avoid bitter, unforgiving people, particularly these lawless, condemned feminists. Even if you pound their enemy in a mortar, these discarded bimbos still won't be pacified. Madam Princess, why not boil Baba Ijesha for breakfast, or roast him for dinner? This bitterness is surely approaching terrorism level. These are the kinds of people the Yoruba call alenimadeyin, aritenimowi, afapaadibotie. They are depraved souls, holier-than-thou irritants who can never live in peace under any marital roof. Bitter, frustrated and discarded, they habitually hurl insults at old people, proving that they have no desire to make old bones. If, as a young man, you hook up with them, you will be a gbewudani, living the life of bathroom slippers.

I have a charge for you bitter lunatics: Almighty God forgave David, a man who committed both adultery and murder. Go to court to challenge that decision. Awon eranko lasan lasan!
