Govinda hospitalised after falling unconscious at home; stable now

According to India Today, Govinda's lawyer, Lalit Bindal, stated that the actor was suffering discomfort prior to being transported to the emergency department. Giving an update on Govinda's health, he stated, "He was feeling disoriented." All tests have been completed, and we are now awaiting the results and opinions of the neuro consultation. He is now steady.

Govinda's hospitalisation comes just one day after he paid a visit to actor Dharmendra, who is recovering at Breach Candy Hospital. In a video, he is seen leaving the hospital with a gloomy expression on his face.

Govinda has been hospitalised twice in the past year. The actor was involved in an accident on October 1, last year, and was transported to a Mumbai hospital. His licensed revolver apparently misfired, causing a bullet wound in his knee.

The incident took place at around 4:45 a.m. According to the Mumbai Police, Govinda was about to leave for Kolkata and was putting his handgun back in the cupboard when it accidentally discharged.

Govinda was released from the hospital three days following the event. The actor, who is a Shiv Sena member led by Eknath Shinde, arrived with his wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja.

He greeted the journalists and admirers with folded hands. "I was preparing to travel for a gig in Kolkata. It was around 5 a.m. And this time, it just fell and went off. I was stunned by what had occurred, and when I looked down, I saw a fountain of blood. "Then I made a video, spoke with the doctor, and was admitted," he told reporters gathered outside his home.

The actor rose to prominence in the late 1980s and 1990s with movies like Ilzaam (1986), Love 86 (1986), and Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna (1994). His collaborations with directors such as David Dhawan yielded hits like Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Raja Babu, and Partner.

Beyond comedy, Govinda has delivered outstanding performances in more serious or dramatic roles, demonstrating his versatility throughout his more than three-decade career. Rangeela Raja, his last film, was released in 2019.
