Lucknow: More than 100 leading spine surgeons in the country shared insights on backbone-related treatment at the Spine Conclave 2025 at KGMU on Saturday. The event combined academic learning with practical training to advance modern surgical techniques in spine care.The conclave featured a continuing medical education session in which experts discussed topics like disc prolapse, lumbar trauma and minimally invasive spine surgery. Following the sessions, a hands-on cadaveric workshop provided training in modern surgical methods to over 45 participants under the guidance of eminent national faculty.Organised by KGMU's department of orthopaedic surgery, under Prof Shah Waliullah, the event underscored importance of treating back pain as major public health issue. Faculty including Dr Guru Raj (Delhi), Dr Shailesh Hadgaokar (Pune), Dr Tarun Suri (Delhi), Dr Niraj Vasvada (Mumbai), and Dr Vishal Kundnani (Mumbai) enriched the sessions with their expertise. Event saw active participation of young orthopaedic surgeons, who showcased research and surgical skills.
