Meanwhile, there is a small craft advisory in effect for all Florida coastal waters until later today, and dangerous rip current warnings around large parts of the state.
High temperatures in the 40s, 50s and 60s Tuesday from Florida up along the Southeast coast are expected to be 20 to 30 degrees cooler than usual for this time of year, according to National Weather Service meteorologist Mussie Kebede, so expect to see some records broken.
There is also an elevated fire danger in North and Southwest Florida due to due to dangerous burning conditions including low daytime humidity, gusty winds and dry fuels, forecasters said. Fires are not expected, but the ongoing drought conditions mean that any fires that do start will spread rapidly.
