Bayern Munich thrashed SV Hamburg 5-0 on Saturday as the two traditional German clubs met again in the Bundesliga for the first time since 2018.
It took Bayern only three minutes to break the deadlock as Serge Gnabry hammered the ball into the roof of the net. Six minutes later, Aleksandar Pavlović doubled their lead.
Harry Kane from the spot and Luis Diaz ensured Bayern had a 4-0 lead before the break and the England striker completed the win with a second goal in the 62nd.
Hamburg finally returned to the Bundesliga after seven season in the second division, but their run of heavy defeats to Bayern in recent history continued.
In their last meeting before Hamburg's relegation in 2018, Hamburg were defeated 6-0, while the year before Bayern claimed a 8-0 victory, and the 2013 match ended 9-2.
