LeBron James shared that the golf course was his "happy place" during a golfing session with his son, Bronny James. The NBA icon has often showcased his love for the sport with stories and posts on social media.
Besides ruling the basketball courts, James has developed a passion for golf sometime around June. Although he is not a passionate golf fan like fellow NBA stars Steph Curry or Michael Jordan, the $1.3 billion athlete (as reported by Forbes) enjoys playing golf during the NBA off-season.
LeBron James shared a photo from the golf course on his Instagram story. The picture also showed Bronny in the distance, trying to make a putt. James tagged his son and wrote in the caption of the story:
"@bronny My Happy Place lately! ππΏππΏππΏππΏβοΈβ³οΈ "
Take a look at the Instagram story shared by James:
LeBron James' golf swing was shared on X by Rick Shiels several months ago. It received mixed reviews from fans, as noted from the comment section of Shiels' post.
The same cannot be said for Bronny James, who has collaborated with golf-based influencer Grant Horvat for a video. Fans commented below Horvat's Instagram post, lauding Bronny's golf swing.
During a live interview with Spectrum Sportsnet Live, LeBron James talked about his love for golf and stated how the 'bug' was real, and it got him. The four-time NBA Finals MVP further revealed something that he got from playing the sport and elaborated on his overall experience.
King James said during the interview session:
"I think the best thing I've gotten from it, besides like how competitive and hard it is, the mental challenge, which I love anything that's mentally challenging, but you just get away from the world. You're out there on the green, no phones. My phone stays in the cart the whole time... I'm out there with my guys. You're out there and just in the world. I can lose my mind into the game of golf."
The four-time NBA Champion has also labeled golf as a "mind f**k to say the least" in an Instagram post several months ago. However, he also admitted that he enjoyed it and still had a long way to go in the sport.
