ORLANDO, Florida (WJW) - The Orange County Sherriff's Office is investigating the death of a guest at Epic Universe.
According to WESH News, the guest was found unresponsive after riding the Stardust Racers rollercoaster.
The guest, identified as an adult male, was taken to the hospital, where they later died, Universal said in a statement to WESH.
FOX 8 has reached out for a comment.
Statement from Universal spokesperson:
Universal is cooperating with the Orange County Sheriff's Office following a tragic event involving a guest at Epic Universe on Wednesday night. The guest became unresponsive after riding Stardust Racers and was transported to the hospital, where the guest later died. We are devastated by this event and extend our sincerest sympathies to the guest's loved ones. We are fully committed to cooperating with this ongoing investigation. The attraction remains closed.
Universal Epic Universe opened in May of 2025 as the fourth park at Universal Orlando.
