Summer keeps sizzling on:
HOUSTON - So far is on a 2-day record-breaking streak. Tuesday's 2-day record-breaking high temperature was 95; on Wednesday, it was 96.
High pressure continues to build in from Mexico, which will ensure that we'll likely see another run at record-setting temperatures through the end of the week.
Take care of yourself in this heat:
Remember to take breaks to avoid heat exhaustion if you plan to be outside. It usually takes our bodies a few weeks to acclimate to the typical summer Houston heat.
High pressure will continue to move east into the Gulf, keeping temperatures above average and still blocking rain chances
A southerly flow will pull in moisture, increasing dew points and making it feel like 100-105 degrees during the mid- to late week. Remember to take breaks to avoid heat exhaustion if you plan to be outside.
10-day forecast:
The above-average heat stretches into next week with no real chance of rain. Temperatures will challenge records and have Texans wishing it felt like May instead of July and August.
