Demon Deacons will play Friday at 5 p.m. against Stanford in Cary
Wake Forest's women's soccer team will play for the national championship on Monday night in Cary.
The Demon Deacons got a goal from Emily Morris on Friday night in the College Cup semifinals to win 1-0 over Stanford at WakeMed Soccer Park.
It will be the first time the Demon Deacons have played in the national championship game in their history.
For Coach Tony da Luz, who is in his 28th season in Winston-Salem, it was his second time in the College Cup. The Demon Deacons also were in the College Cup in 2011 but lost in the semifinals.

The Demon Deacons will play either North Carolina or Duke, which played later on Friday night in the other semifinal.
Morris scored in the 73rd minute with assists going to Sierra Sythe and Caiya Hanks.
Wake Forest improved to 16-3-4 and Stanford finished 16-5-2.
Goalie Valentina Amaral went the whole way for the Demon Deacons and made four saves.
The Demon Deacons can win the school's 11th team national championship and first in women's soccer. The men's soccer team won the national championship in 2007.
