KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Knoxville Fire Department said a man was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespassing after crews responded to a small fire at a building on Knoxville College's campus Friday afternoon.
The fire department said as investigators responded to the fire at the MLK Tower building, they encountered Jermain Williams, 53. The fire department said he was trespassing in the building and took him into custody.
Around a month ago, Knoxville College's Elnathan building burned down after a large fire. The building was over 100 years old and was not being used by the college at the time of the fire.
