If you own a OnePlus phone that's been affected by the dreaded "green line" display issue, then you're not alone - countless other OnePlus owners have been plagued with the problem, so much so that OnePlus has now announced a new program to specifically deal with this matter.
Referred to by the company as the '"OnePlus Green Line Worry-Free Solution", the program rests on three steps which OnePlus claims will address the issue on its smartphones. According to the company, the problem is caused not by a single culprit but as a result of different factors in play.

With that said, step number one will see OnePlus AMOLED screens integrated with an Enhanced Edge Bonding Layer, which in theory will serve as a barrier to slow down moisture and oxygen penetration over time. OnePlus will also conduct rigorous quality control checks on the displays using simulated real-world conditions, such as extreme humidity and temperatures.
OnePlus will also offer lifetime warranties on the green line issue on all its smartphone models - this includes new and old smartphones - meaning that users will get a new display even if their phone has exceeded the warranty date. With all that said, we're hoping that future OnePlus smartphone launches will be worry-free from the green line issue.
