Feb. 12, 1953 -- Nov. 19, 2024
Angie Fidel Hill was called home by her Savior on Nov. 19, 2024. She passed peacefully into glory at home under hospice care. Angie was born in Bagio City, Philippines, on Feb. 12, 1953.
Angie started her nursing career in the Philippines. After coming to the U.S. with her family, Angie continued nursing at several hospitals until she graduated with a master's from Loma Linda University. Angie was commissioned into the United States Air Force in 1986, and was assigned to Travis Air Force Base, Calif. During this assignment Angie met Mike and, after a whirlwind courtship, married him on April 29, 1989. Angie separated from the USAF to continue her nursing career in the Solano County TB Department.
With great joy Angie became a mom on May 6, 1990, with the birth of Alyssa. Angie home schooled Alyssa until she was eligible to be enrolled in a local Jr. High, and after graduation, Buckingham Charter High School. Angie continued mentoring Alyssa in her studies until her graduation from Solano Community College.
Angie received a cancer diagnosis in 2010. During the months following her treatment Angie encouraged other women with a similar diagnosis, praying and encouraging them from the promises in the Bible.
Angie is survived by her family, Mike and Alyssa; and her siblings, Junior, Freddie, Virgil, Marilyn and Celso.
Angie's Celebration of Life Service and Lunch Reception is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at Family Bible Church, 720 Link Road, Fairfield.
