Three-vehicle crash  involving two teens on Highway 14 in Byron results in injuries

BYRON , Minn.-- Two teens were involved in a crash along Highway 14 in Byron Monday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Dodge Dakota and Chevy Traverse were both driving westbound on Hwy 14 when they collided. The Chevy Traverse then collided with a Toyota Sienna that was also westbound on Hwy 14.

The driver of the Dodge Dakota was a 17-year-old female who was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. The condition of their injuries are unknown at this time. 17-year-old Dakota Anderson of Waseca, MN was a passenger of the vehicle. She was transported to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries.

40-year-old Sara Jean Larsen of Kasson, MN was the driver of the Chevy Traverse, and was reported to have no injuries.

43-year-old Danan Susan Obrien of Kasson, MN was the third driver involved , in the Toyota Sienna with no injuries reported.

UPDATE: The section of Highway 14 has reopened.

BYRON, Minn. - The Minnesota State Patrol is warning drivers that a crash is backing up traffic one mile east of Byron on Highway 14.

According to the State Patrol, the westbound lanes between 10th Ave. NE and County Road 3 are being impacted.
