Find out who is on the Royal Variety Performance 2024 guestlist

THE Royal Variety Performance returns for another year at the famous Royal Albert Hall.

Every year the show attracts a guest list of royals and celebrities, as well as star performers and hosts. Here's what we know about this year's prestigious event.

The Royal Variety Performance was filmed on Friday November 22, 2024 and will air for viewers in December.

This is his first appearance as King, but he has attended the show as royal guest of honor 16 times as the Prince of Wales - with his last attendance in 2016.

King Charles was last to arrive wearing a smart long evening coat and a bow tie.

The monarch was pictured in good spirits as he arrived for an evening of entertainment - 11 months after it was revealed he was battling cancer.

Show hosts Alan Carr and Amanda Holden expressed gratitude for King Charles' attendance despite his wife's lingering chest infection - and they were delighted to hear they had made the monarch laugh.

Holden said: "His Majesty was amazingly charming - he said we definitely earned our pound that we got paid. We mentioned Her Majesty and wished her well.

"He did so well to be here. He was really funny - I've always said out of everyone he's got the best sense of humour in the whole of the royal family."

Kate Middleton has dazzled guests and viewers with her Royal presence at the red carpet event over the years.

However, she did not attend this years Royal Variety Performance.

She did however attend attended the annual Remembrance Sunday memorial service in London.

As the show remains popular since its inception in 1911, it has seen many Royal guests in attendance.

Here's a look at which members of the esteemed Royal family that have been to the show over the years:

The night saw performances by Britain's Got Talent 2024 winner, Sydnie Christmas, who sang Imagine Dragons' Believer, Cirque du Soleil acrobats and musical numbers from Cameron Mackintosh's production of Oliver!

Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish also presented a musical number from their new show, The Devil Wears Prada, with Vanessa Williams turning heads as she plays the fearless fashion magazine editor, Miranda Priestly.

December viewers will be delighted to know the event stays true to its name by delivering on variety.

As well as music, the event stages world-class comedians, including Penn and Teller.

And expect performance by the British comedian Matt Forde, with an impression of President Trump that was said to humour the King.

ITV have confirmed that they will broadcast the show on ITV1 and ITVX in December, but there are not further details on a time or date.

The event features world class performers, theatre, incredible singers and top tier British comedy.

The proceeds from the evening will go towards the Royal Variety Charity, who help people from the world of entertainment in need of care and assistance.

The Royal Variety Charity launched an initiative to help those with mental health issues this year.
