COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - We've got a nice start to the weekend, with highs climbing into the mid-80s this afternoon.
Happy Saturday! Yesterday's cold front has moved farther offshore, with cooler air settling into the Carolinas overnight. After a chilly morning, temperatures will climb nicely for the afternoon. Later today, highs will top out in the mid-80s. We'll pair this warmth with a nice breeze at times throughout the day.
Sunday, a weak cold front drops into the Midlands during the afternoon and evening. With it, there may a thunderstorm or two that's able to fire up, but for most of the Midlands, the end of the weekend will be dry. It'll still be warm, with highs in the mid-80s under a partly cloudy sky.
Into next week, temperatures will continue to climb. As high pressure settles into the Carolinas, it'll allow for warmer air to settle in. By the middle of next week, we'll be back to around 90 degrees.
Sunday: Partly cloudy. A stray thunderstorm or two can't be ruled out in the afternoon and evening. Highs in the mid-80s.
