"GUNDAM45FRGMT" will feature products with original designs supervised by Hiroshi Fujiwara.
The legendary mecha franchise Gundam is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year and has been making the most of the milestone by teaming up with all sorts of collaborators. Key headlines thus far include everything from a Levi's project centered around Mobile Suit Gundam SEED to RX-78-2-themed products delivered by Crocs and CASETiFY. Now, as the year is in its final month, another announcement has fans eager to learn more.
Hiroshi Fujiwara, founder of the prominent label fragment design, took to Instagram to announce "GUNDAM45FRGMT" -- a new design project between the two parties focused on Mobile Suit Gundam. The Gundam website went on to elaborate that it will feature "Related products with original designs supervised by Hiroshi Fujiwara," and that they "will be released one after another." "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -FINAL-" was also announced as a large-scale event being held in Tokyo and Osaka in February and April of 2025 respectively, with goods from the fragment design collaboration being available at both.
At the time of writing, neither Hiroshi Fujiwara nor Gundam have shared a preview of what the collaboration will feature. Stay tuned for updates in the near future as the 45th anniversary of Gundam wraps up.
