Drake alleges Universal and Spotify falsely inflated Kendrick Lamar diss track 'Not Like Us'
Drake has begun legal action against Universal Music Group and Spotify, alleging they conspired to falsely pump up the popularity of Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us." The song from earlier this year viciously attacked Drake amid a feud between the two hip-hop superstars. The legal filing from Drake's company in New York court on Monday, the precursor to a potential lawsuit, seeks revelations on the practices of the two companies. The rappers, two of the biggest stars in hip-hop, are former colleagues who engaged in a bitter beef earlier this year. Universal, the parent company of the labels for both artists, says the filing's allegations are "offensive and untrue."
