RUSAL sees its low-carbon products supporting India's MSME-led secondary aluminium sector - Authentic Press Network News | APN News

New Delhi : Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) form the backbone of India's aluminium downstream industry, providing nearly one million jobs and contributing significantly to manufacturing and export growth.

Input costs for producing downstream products play a critical role in determining the competitiveness and long-term sustainability of these enterprises.

RUSAL, one of the world's largest aluminium producers, sees a significant opportunity to support India's MSMEs by offering high-quality, competitively priced primary metal.

More than 99 percent of the electricity used in RUSAL's metal production comes from renewable sources. The company markets low-carbon aluminium under its ALLOW™ brand, which has a certified carbon footprint of less than 2.2 tonnes of carbon equivalent per tonne of metal, four to five times lower than the industry average.

This not only helps MSMEs reduce production costs but also equips them to meet emerging global standards for low-carbon manufacturing.

By enabling access to low-carbon raw material, RUSAL believes it can help Indian MSMEs enhance their competitiveness, expand export capabilities, and align with international climate benchmarks.

RUSAL remains committed to partnering with India's MSMEs to build a resilient, future-ready aluminium ecosystem. Through sustainable sourcing and strategic collaboration, the company is proud to contribute to India's industrial ambitions and support the next chapter of MSME-led growth.
