College football's conference championship weekend had a multitude of star-making moments.
And ironically enough, none of those stars were football players. Sure, there were some exciting plays on the gridiron, but the internet has been more focused on the action that was happening just off the field. Specifically the side lines...
ESPN sideline reporter Ashley ShahAhamadi first captured the hearts of the internet with her appearance during the SEC Championship. During the Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway, where students compete in a football-throw-off for $100,000 in tuition, ShahAhamadi was there to walk college football fans how the competition would work. She also introduced America to the two students that would be throwing against each other.
College football fans quickly fell in love with her:
ShahAhamadi, who has formerly worked as a sideline NBA sideline reporter for the Charlotte Hornets and a reporter for the Atlanta Braves, went viral as the SEC Championship was happening. As for the other break out star, Jordan Giorgio, she started to create a buzz online when she posted a picture of herself that was taken as she covered the Big Ten Championship.
Giorgio has slowly but surely worked her way up the sports media ladder. The Florida State alumni first got opportunities working with the Seminoles, and then turned that experience into a Production Runner position with ESPN. In 2019, she was hired onto the team at NBC Sports as a reporter and host, and now serves as the same for CBS Sports.
And she just recently got to help call her first ever Big Ten Championship game:
Like I said previously, Giorgio posted that picture a couple of days removed from the Big Ten Championship game, which saw the Oregon Ducks defeat the Penn State Nittany Lions 45 to 37. So though the reaction to her might have been a little delayed when compared to how Ashley ShahAhamadi went viral, she's still gotten plenty of online attention nonetheless.
As you can see in some of the replies to the Big Ten Championship photo Jordan Giorgio posted:
But just like Ashley ShahAhamadi, Jordan Giorgio is already married. Some social media users thought to take a look at Giorgio's ring finger, and they were devastated to see that she was taken (she got married this past summer):
Sorry to all those guys out there that hopelessly thought they had a shot...
You can get a better look at Giorgio's big ol' diamond ring in the picture below:
Hubby, a Florida real estate lad named Anthony Paolini, is a pretty good lookin' fella... sorry my dudes.
