Ohio State Fans in a Fluster With Head Coach Ryan Day Despite Nebraska Win

The Ohio State Buckeyes got back in the win column on Saturday after taking down the Nebraska Cornhuskers 21-17. They largely struggled throughout the contest, but thanks to a late-game turnover, the Buckeyes secured the victory.

However, the fanbase seems a bit frustrated with head coach Ryan Day. There has been displeasure over recent years despite the success the Ohio State football program has seen.

But that seemed to boil over after the Nebraska win. Especially considering many believed the Buckeyes would bounce back nicely after suffering a loss to the Oregon Ducks and coming off of a bye week.

With the schedule only increasing in difficulty this season, Ohio State fans seem concerned with what's going on with the football team. They jumped on social media and shared their takes on the 45-year-old head coach.

"I don't think Ryan Day will ever see a natty unless he gets serious about the QB position," claimed one fan.

Another fan admitted, "I was fully prepared to be calling for Ryan Day's head before the post-game handshake."

One individual defended Day, questioning, "I want to know from the fire Ryan Day gang who is on the other side of that wish??"

"FIRE RYAN DAY IMMEDIATELY," exclaimed one user.

One person stated, "Ryan Day is coaching for his job next week. Yikes. He's absolutely done with a loss there."

Ohio State moves on to play the No. 3 ranked Penn State Nittany Lions. It's an incredibly tough matchup, as the Nittany Lions have been one of the more competitive teams in the Big Ten this season.

Additionally, this will mark the second Top 3 matchup for Ohio State, pending the outcome of Penn State's matchup against the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday night. The Buckeyes also still have marquee matchups against the red-hot Indiana Hoosiers and Michigan Wolverines to close out the season.

We'll see how it plays out for Day. The veteran head coach has over 60 wins under his belt since being hired in 2019. But the fanbase is starved for a National Championship at this point since the last victory came in 2014.
