COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- An air of excitement was tangible on OSU's campus Friday with less than 24 hours until Ohio State takes on Michigan.
The Buckeyes left Woody Hayes Athletic Center just before 4 p.m. and headed up to Ann Arbor. Ohio State fans told NBC4 they are feeling confident and excited.
"My dad grew up in Columbus. His mom and dad were from Columbus. If Ohio State lost on Saturday, you couldn't talk to him on Saturdays until Ohio State redeemed themselves the next week. So it was it born and bred, Buckeyes are in our blood," Toledo Buckeye fan Ryan Thompson said.
Some fans even come from out of state to watch the Buckeyes off; one person told NBC4 they came from Atlanta and another from Nashville. All were Buckeye fans, and all were ready for a win on Saturday.
"Optimistic, of course. This always makes you nervous. It's the thing, but we're feeling pretty optimistic. We're going to get them this year," Atlanta Buckeye fan Brent Barnhouse said.
The Buckeyes are flying to Michigan and are expected to be at their hotel just after 6.
