Denver Broncos general manager George Paton and coach Sean Payton have been busy making moves in NFL free agency, and star cornerback Pat Surtain clearly approves.
The Broncos have made three big splash signings so far, starting with safety Talanoa Hufanga and linebacker Dre Greenlaw shoring up the defense. After that, Denver addressed its biggest weakness on offense and added tight end Evan Engram.
After news of the Engram signing broke on Wednesday, Surtain took to Twitter/X with a viral GIF of a cook with the caption: "🎯🎯." The message from PS2 was clear: Paton and Payton have been cooking.
Engram, 30, will fill the "Joker" role on offense that Payton has talked about this offseason. A two-time Pro Bowler, Engram joins the Broncos with 496 career catches for 4,922 yards and 25 touchdowns on his resume. He will be a huge boost to the offense and a key addition for second-year quarterback Bo Nix.
