New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson better create a vice for the Miami Dolphins defense if his team is going to pull off an upset in Week 14.
To salvage some self-respect, the Jets (3-9) may want to use the passing game to attack the Dolphins (5-7) on Sunday:

Wilson leads the team in receptions and receiving yards in what has been a disappointing 2024 season. Wilson has been targeted 118 times by quarterback Aaron Rodgers through 12 games played, yet, New York's pass heavy offense has been mediocre at best.
Wilson's teammate, receiver Davante Adams, has done some diligence to make things easier for Rodgers to comb his progressions, but the Jets QB has not evaded the pass rush, or worse, has missed throws he usually connects on.
Miami head coach Mike McDaniel is going to unleash a plethora of misdirection to offset the Jets defense, so New York's play caller in Todd Downing, and Rodgers, better have a game plan that is effective enough to give the teams defensive unit room for error. Wilson needs badly to have another breakout game and he can only do so if the offense stays on schedule by avoiding down and long distances.
