Ohio High School Football Rankings: Top 25 Teams - Dec. 1

The 2025 Ohio high school football season will enter its state championship weekend, and some of the state's best teams are competing for titles. Before these massive games, here's how Massey classified the top squads.

The Massey Ratings system, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, the strength of their schedule, and the margin of victory.

The Eagles improved to 13-1 for the season after dominating Walsh Jesuit in the Ohio high school football Division II state semifinals. Avon can claim the championship by defeating Anderson in the title game on December 4.

The Pioneers blanked St. Edward to reach the Division I state championship game. It's the third time this season that they've blanked their opponent. Olentangy Orange can complete a perfect 15-0 season by defeating St. Xavier on December 5.

The Eagles dominated Tippecanoe to book their ticket to the Ohio high school football Division III state championship game. Drew Bellisari threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns, while Caden Mangini added a rushing touchdown. Ben Lamielle, Jack McCoy, and Joe Hayes IV each had a receiving TD. Hayes also had two interceptions, and the Bishop Watterson defense generated 11 tackles for losses (including four sacks). The Eagles will compete against Central Catholic for the state title on December 5.

The Bombers won against Middletown to enter the Division I state championship game. St. Xavier scored touchdowns in each of the first three quarters to claim their 11th victory this season. Standing in their way of a state championship is Olentangy Orange, and they'll play for the crown on the 5th.

The Raptors kept their season alive after defeating Big Walnut 29-22. Anderson held onto the victory despite the Golden Eagles' 14-point fourth quarter. Owen Scalf threw for 296 yards and two touchdowns, while Jordan Davis had a couple of rushing TDs. Cooper Kathman tallied 118 receiving yards and a touchdown. The Raptors will face Avon for the Division II state championship on December 4.
