Guehi was booked only four minutes into their 2-0 win at Molineux for a challenge on Joao Gomes.
The 25-year-old walked a tightrope in the 24th minute when he brought down Jorgen Strand Larsen on the edge of the area, clipping the bottom of his boot.
Perhaps fortunate that Anthony Taylor did not brandish a second yellow card, the England international regrouped and exhibited a flawless defensive display, leading the backline to a third consecutive Premier League clean sheet.
Glasner admitted that substituting Guehi crossed his mind, but conceded he would only have done so at the centre-back's request.
"I thought about it [subbing Guehi] at half time," said Glasner. "But if I trust any player to deal with such a situation, it's Marc Guehi.
"He did so well, it just showed how good he is. He had two or three situations, not just the one against Jackson Tchatchoua in the box where if he fouls he gets a red card, but he's so smart.
"My only concern was whether he could play the whole game because he was injured for so long.
"I asked him a few times and he said it's all good. As long as my captain doesn't tell me that he wants off, he stays on."
