LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jan, 2026) Wheat yield competition 2025-26 are being organized across the province under the special direction of the Punjab CM.
A spokesman for the department said here on Thursday that farmers would receive cash prizes worth millions of rupees along with tractors. He said, "At provincial level, the first prize is an 85-horsepower tractor, the second prize is a 75-horsepower tractor and the third prize is a 60-horsepower tractor."
At the district level, the first prize is Rs 1,000,000 in cash, the second prize Rs 800,000 and the third prize
Rs 500,000, he added.
Farmers possessing 5 acres or above may apply to participate in the wheat production competition. Terms and conditions were mentioned on the application form.
The spokesperson said that application forms could be obtained from the offices of the Assistant Director Agriculture (Extension) and Agriculture Officer (Extension) of the respective tehsils.
Additionally, forms may also be downloaded from the official website of Punjab Agriculture department www.agripunjab.gov.pk, photocopies of the application form would also be accepted.
Members of the national and provincial assemblies, senators, their family members, government employees of grade 17 and above, all employees of the Punjab Agriculture department and progressive farmers who are members of divisional or district committees are not eligible to participate.
He further said, "The last date for submitting applications is set as January 31, 2026."
