Steelers Make Final 2025 Call on Broderick Jones Before Bills Kickoff: Report

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac reported Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle Broderick Jones will miss the rest of the 2025 NFL season.

Things have gone from bad to worse on the injury front for Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle Broderick Jones.

Head coach Mike Tomlin ruled out Jones days before the Steelers were set to host the Buffalo Bills in Week 13. Then Saturday, the Steelers placed Jones on injured reserve, sidelining him until Week 17.

On Sunday, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Gerry Dulac reported Jones will be out longer than that. Dulac posted on social media Jones will not play again this season.

Jones is dealing with a neck injury he sustained on November 23 against the Chicago Bears.

"Broderick Jones has a neck injury that is more serious than originally though and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season, per sources," wrote Dulac.

Without Jones against the Bills, the Steelers will start veteran offensive lineman Andrus Peat at left tackle. Peat has been active for only one other game for Pittsburgh this season. It will be his first start at left tackle since 2023.

The Bills matchup will be the first game Jones misses in his three-year NFL career.

Along with Jones, cornerback Darius Slay, defensive linemen Logan Lee and Derrick Harmon, wide receiver Scotty Miller and quarterback Will Howard will not play versus the Bills on Sunday. The Steelers included those five players on their inactive list an hour and a half before kickoff on November 30.

Howard, though, will serve as the team's emergency No. 3 quarterback.

The Bills are visiting the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium on Sunday. Kickoff will occur at 4:25 pm ET.
