Father Christmas will perform two one-hour shows for young children and their families on Friday, December 5, as he prepares for the big night with his reindeer and elves.
For adults and older children, storyteller Gav Cross will host two evening events as part of the museum's new Narrator series, exploring timeless tales with a contemporary twist.
Mr Cross said: "I'm delighted to enter this new partnership as Norton's Narrator, building on previous sell-out shows at Norton Priory, and bringing some of the best stories to life for contemporary audiences in such an atmospheric space.
"These aren't stories for children.
"I'm inviting adults to indulge in the moment, listening to tales which will challenge and linger in the mind.
He will perform Ghost Stories for Christmas on Sunday, December 14, at 7.30pm, followed by a retelling of the medieval tale Sir Gawain and the Green Knight on Monday, December 29, at 6.30pm.
Rob Sanderson-Thomas, CEO of Norton Priory, said: "We wanted to create something that speaks to the grown-up imagination.
"The programme marks the beginning of a new strand of live performance at Norton Priory, one which embraces the power of the spoken word to spark imagination.
"Each performance will transport audiences from the familiar museum surroundings into landscapes of wonder, danger, humour and even spine-tingling terror."
The season also includes a stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol by A Place for Us Theatre, running from December 18 to 20.
Musical highlights will include Victorian Christmas Carols performed by VLM Theatre on December 6 and 7, a classical concert by the Liverpool String Quartet on Thursday, December 11, and Christmas with the St Nicholas Singers on Friday, December 12.
The Runcorn Community Choir will round off the musical celebrations with a Christmas Carol Concert on Saturday, December 13.
