Nicole, 25, spoke publicly for the first time about her relationship with Yamal, 18, at an event for Spanish fashion brand Desigual in Barcelona on Sept. 10.
"I am very in love, very happy. Yes, very happy," she said, as quoted by The Sun.
When reporters mentioned her relationship with Yamal, Nicole confirmed it and added that it was the young Barcelona star and Spanish pop star Rosalia who taught her the phrase "T'estimo," meaning "I love you" in Catalan.
When asked what she looks for in love, Nicole shared that it's all about "joy, sincerity, and affection."
She also expressed gratitude to the Barcelona crowd: "I'm very happy, very happy in Barcelona, with a lot of affection from the people, and I want to thank everyone. First for the invitation, second because I'm with incredible stars that I admire very much and I really want to meet."
After Spain's 6-0 victory against Turkey on Sept. 7, Yamal also showed affection for his girlfriend. On Instagram, teammate Nico Williams teased and filmed Yamal, smiling as he gazed at his phone with a picture of him and Nicole as the lock screen.
Yamal first made the relationship public on Nicole's 25th birthday on Aug. 25. Despite rumors of a split after just 13 days, following Yamal's removal of Nicole's photo and changing his profile picture to all black on Instagram, recent gestures from both of them indicate their relationship is serious.
The young star's personal life has attracted attention since his rise to international stardom. Yamal previously dated Alex Padilla as the two went public with their relationship during the Euro 2024 celebrations. However, rumors of a breakup surfaced after Padilla was seen cozing up with another man during a livestream, according to Marca.
Yamal was later seen hanging out with social media influencer Anna Gegnoso, 19, and later vacationed in Italy with flight attendant Fati Vazquez, 29. He was also rumored to have attempted to link with influencer and former adult film star Claudia Bavel, who is 12 years his senior.
Nicole, whose real name is Nicole Denise Cucco, was born on Aug. 25, 2000, in Rosario, Argentina. She is a rising star in Latin trap and urban music, was nominated for a Latin Grammy and performed at major music festivals.
Nicole was previously in a two-year relationship with rapper Trueno, which ended in 2022. Since then, she has kept her love life private until her relationship with Yamal.
