On Wednesday, Bibb County Choctaw's safety Antonious Steele has officially signed his letter of intent to play college football for Troy University. Steele officially signed with Troy on December 4th but did not have his ceremony until Wednesday. "Ant Man" officially committed to the Trojans on March 8th and stuck with Troy even after getting offers from Jacksonville State, Alcorn State, and UAB.
"A very physical player most definitely you know I am very physical I feel like I can get to my spots really quick," says Steele on what kind of player Troy is getting with him. "I'm very fast and explosive so yeah they got something really special coming to Troy."
According to 247 Sports, Steele is a three star recruit that is ranked in the Top 50 of safeties in the state of Alabama and top 150 nationally. During his time with the Choctaws, Steele recorded 110 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three forced fumbles and five interceptions. "Ant Man" joins 14 other players that signed to play for head coach Gerad Parker and the Trojans.
Steele will also not be the only Choctaw on the Trojans, last season defensive end Trashun Griffin signed with Troy and is currently a freshman working his way up the depth chart.
According to On3 Recruiting, Troy has the 78th best recruiting class in the country and the second in the Sun Belt Conference only under Georgia State.
