The advent of high-resolution mass spectrometry and sophisticated bioinformatics have enabled unprecedented depth in the analysis of cellular processes and disease pathways accelerating biomarker discovery, enhanced understanding of complex biological systems, and propelled innovations in personalized medicine, agriculture, and environmental science.
This was the major observation at the 17th Annual Conference of Proteomics Society (India) themed "Proteomics and Metabolomics: Innovation, Applications, and Impact", hosted by the CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) here on Thursday.
The program was curated to encompass a broad array of topics, including disease mechanisms, immunity, and their pharmaceutical, clinical, and agricultural applications with scientists, research scholars, and industry leaders discussing the the progress in the field.
"The conference catalyzes exchange of innovative ideas, knowledge, and resources, thereby advancing the frontiers of proteomics and metabolomics. The rapid evolution of these disciplines continues to expand their impact, fostering new collaborations and driving scientific breakthroughs, said senior principal scientist and lead organiser Swasti Raychaudhuri, in a press release.
