Ravens release updated depth chart for matchup vs. Lions in Week 3

You can't dwell on losses in the NFL, and following the heartbreak in Buffalo, the Ravens blasted the Cleveland Browns 41-17 in Week 2. The team's communications staff compiles the data for weekly unofficial depth charts. Still, it provides some insight into who the starter is, who's playing what position, and who could be in line for a promotion or extended playing time.

The Ravens are loaded and have their eyes on the Super Bowl, but didn't make any significant changes ahead of matchups against the Lions and Texans.

Baltimore will face the Lions on Monday night, and as Week 3 approaches quickly, we're sharing takeaways and reactions from the updated depth chart.

Takeaways: Ali (concussion) exited Sunday's game against the Browns, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reported. The running back and special-teams standout was evaluated for a possible concussion during the first quarter. Ali recorded one solo tackle before exiting. Keaton Mitchell has been inactive for the first two games, while Justice Hill has been underwhelming.

Takeaways: Hopkins is listed ahead of Walker on the depth chart, but the second-year wideout played more snaps in Week 2 and logged two scores.

Takeaways: Veteran offensive tackle Joe Noteboom is the swing tackle, and he's the backup for both offensive tackles, bumping rookie Carson Vinson out of his spot on the right side.

Takeaways: Robinson (48 snaps) had more snaps than Oweh (41) in Week 2, but it's the former Penn State pass rusher who is still listed as the starter for now. Robinson forced the strip sack on Joe Flacco that led to Roquan Smith's fumble recovery for a touchdown. Overall, Robinson finished with six tackles, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one QB hit.

Takeaways: Smith returned this season looking to send a message, and he finished with 15 total tackles, three tackles for loss, and two QB hits, along with the defensive touchdown.

Takeaways: The rookie Buchanan played more snaps than Simpson in Week 1 and had more tackles. In Week 2, Buchanan had six tackles and started the game, while Simpson saw his snaps decrease from Week 1.

Takeaways: Van Noy could miss multiple weeks with a hamstring injury, and Green will fill his role after logging 45 snaps in Week 2.

Takeaways: Rookie cornerback Keyon Martin had five tackles with Humphries out.
