Major differences laid bare - and gap is even bigger between parts of our area and posh parts of the south
Parts of the Black Country have been named among Britain's worst places for average life expectancy - with boys born in recent years expected to die seven years younger than those in the affluent south.
Sandwell had the lowest average life expectancy for men in the Midlands, at 76.7 years - way behind the 83.7 enjoyed by the residents of the district of Hart in Hampshire.
For women, Wolverhampton was named lowest in the West Midlands with 81.2 years. But in contrast, females in London's Kensington and Chelsea lived for an average of 87.1 years.

The highest area of life expectancy for men in the West Midlands was Stratford-upon-Avon (81.3 years).
The posh town was the highest in the region for women too at 85.4 years.
The lowest life expectancy for women in the United Kingdom was Glasgow (78.7 years). For men, it was the seaside town of Blackpool with a life expectancy of 73.7 years.
