It seems that every week in the You magazine office we're discussing a celebrity's 'new face' - although unlike Kris Jenner, who shared the details of the surgeon who performed her recent face lift, not many will actually admit they've had any work done.
There's no doubt, however, that face lifts and other facial operations such as blepharoplasty are having a moment right now, particularly 'deep plane face lifts' which tighten not just the skin on the face but the muscles underneath too, leading to more natural results. The popularity of facial surgery is only set to accelerate as users of weight loss jabs suddenly find the skin on their faces feeling a bit looser - perhaps in need of some lift.
Kris Jenner wowed everyone with the results of her deep plane face lift
However, finding the right surgeon is absolutely crucial if you want natural, flattering results and high standards of care.
If there's one group of people who are in-the-know when it comes to finding a good surgeon, it's beauty editors. After all, these journalists spend their lives interviewing cosmetic experts and examining their methods and results (or perhaps even trying out a prodecure themselves). So I spoke to beauty editors to find out the surgeons that they would recommend in the UK - it's not an exhaustive list, but certainly a good start if you're considering going under the knife.
