CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Sugar cookies that were sold in Target stores across the country including the Tar Heel State were recalled due to a foreign material being found in them.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued the recall on sugar cookies sold at Target on July, 22 and could possibly contain pieces of wood in them.
The affected sugar cookies were the 13.5 oz Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies, 10 count, with UPC - 85239-41250 3.
The FDA said that 803 cases were affected across 21 stores including North Carolina. The items include Lot 25195 Best By Date varied by retailer.
