Out of all the Fortnite dream collaborations, a SpongeBob Squarepants crossover is definitely at the top of the most-wanted list. Fortunately, the time has finally arrived with the latest December 2024 mode. Find out what games are available in this Fortnite SpongeBob collab, including details on skins.
You can expect four new game modes for the Fortnite SpongeBob crossover with the following content:
If you've played Call of Duty's Prop Hunt, you should have no problem diving into Fortnite SpongeBob's rendition. You'll see many familiar props in this mode, such as the Bikini Bottom boat and Krabby Patty. The game also harnesses a few more recognizable locations, starting from SpongeBob's iconic pineapple house. Prop Hunters must search around these areas to locate and shoot player disguises using a Jellyfish Jam gun.
You can also participate in more shooting games with the Red vs. Blue mode. This mode works similarly to Fortnite's standard Battle Royale, but this time, it's a team-based competition. The first team to reach 25 points wins. For some more battling mayhem, check out SpongeBob Slap Fight. The goal is simple: slap any faces in your way.
Last but not least is Bikini Bottom Only Up. This mode is a unique twist on the classic 'Only Up' mode that any Fortnite fan may be familiar with. In the SpongeBob Squarepants version, you'll begin the adventure at Rock Bottom, where you must climb the various elevated platforms to get to the top. However, if you end up falling down, you must start from square one again.
Now, the burning question on everyone's mind: Will there be Fortnite Spongebob skins? While the answer is still shrouded in mystery, the prospect seems promising with this new collab. Perhaps, if luck is on our side, we might see something before the holiday season wraps up, or at the very least, once Season 6 draws to a close (late February).
Whatever the case may be, we'll just have to see what Fortnite has in store for us. I just hope it happens soon so I can get the entire Krusty Krab gang back together in Battle Royale.
