Recruitment has begun for two new roles in a newly-formed ambulance group.
The new group model, announced on October 29, 2025, will see the South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) and South East Coast Ambulance Service Trusts (SECAmb) join forces.
This will be the first ambulance group model, and recruitment is now underway for group chair and group chief executive positions.

This week, SCAS chief executive David Eltringham and SECAmb chief executive Simon Weldon confirmed to their staff they would not be applying for the group chief executive role.
Both leaders have said they will remain in their current roles to guide each emergency service carefully through the transition.
