Titans rookie QB Cam Ward to make Nissan Stadium debut

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward's NFL debut wasn't at all what he was hoping for: six sacks, zero touchdowns, and a 0-1 start to the season. It's safe to say the rookie's ready to close this chapter of debuts and open a new one that's titled "Nissan Stadium debut."

Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams will be the first time in the regular season that Titans fans will see the overall pick at Nissan Stadium.

It'll be another tough test for the rookie going up against another playoff-caliber team for the second straight week. He does get to do it in the comfort of his own home. It will be a refreshing taste after opening the season in a hostile environment like Denver.

Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.

The Broncos managed to keep Ward and company out of the endzone, meaning a chance for what may be his first touchdown but far from his last here in the Music City.

"I'm excited, I threw a lot of touchdowns before, I know I'm going to throw a lot of touchdowns in the NFL. If the first one comes at Nissan, that'd be one I'm ready for," Ward said.

Titans center Lloyd Cushenberry used Ward's home stadium debut to reflect on his unorthodox home opener.

"My rookie year was a little different; it was during COVID. We didn't have any fans; this is going to be a lot different. I'm sure the crowd will go crazy when he runs through the tunnel," said Cushenberry. "The only thing I can tell him is just keep being who he is, just block out the noise and execute on Sunday."

If you're comparing his performance at home from last season, you have to be a little optimistic. Ward was undefeated a Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
