80 interrogated, high-profile cases in court - President Mahama on ORAL

President John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that 80 individuals have already been interrogated as part of his government's intensified anti-corruption campaign.

Speaking during his media engagement at the Jubilee House on September 10, 2025, the President said the initiative, dubbed Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), is a nationwide effort to trace and retrieve looted state funds and assets.

He explained that several high-profile cases, including the SkyTrain project, the National Service Authority, and the National Cathedral, are already in court, with more prosecutions expected after evidence is finalised.

"Over 200 cases are under active investigation, with about 80 people interrogated so far. Several prosecutions have begun, progressing steadily and remain firmly on course," he stated.

According to him, the exercise is intended to reinforce public accountability and send a strong signal that no one is above the law under his administration.

He stressed that the perceived delays in prosecuting those accused of misappropriating state resources should not be seen as a lack of commitment to fighting corruption.

Rather, he said, they reflect a dedication to the rule of law, fairness, and judicial integrity.

"The government is determined to ensure total fairness and strict adherence to due process in the administration of justice," he emphasised.
