School Spirits Renewed for Season 3; Paramount+ Eyes 2026 Release

Paramount+ is scaring up more School Spirits, renewing the supernatural drama for Season 3, TVLine has learned.

"We are so thrilled to bring School Spirits back to our devoted audiences for another season of masterful storytelling brought to life by Peyton List and the incredible cast," says Shauna Phelan, Head of Live Action Scripted Series and Film for Awesomeness and Nickelodeon.

Phelan continues: "Co-showrunners Oliver Goldstick, Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud have an exceptional ability to capture the complexity and nuance of the teen experience, while also keeping audiences on their toes with the unexpected mystery, and we can't wait to see what's in store for the students of Split River High next season."

School Spirits' first season introduced Maddie (List), a teenage spirit who tried to solve her own murder with the help of some friends on the other side. Then came the big reveal -- Maddie isn't actually dead, her body was merely hijacked by a vengeful spirit named Janet (Jess Gabor)!

Season 2 found Maddie and her friends pursuing Janet, then ultimately working with her to uncover the truth about what was trapping all of the spirits within the confines of Split River High.

The second season finale ended on a number of cliffhangers, including Wally (Milo Manheim) potentially crossing over into the after-afterlife, Madde returning to her body and learning that Xavier (Spencer MacPherson) can see ghosts, and Simon (Kristian Ventura) being trapped in the spirit realm.

School Spirits also stars Kiara Pichardo as Nicole, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Rainbow Wedell as Claire and Josh Zuckerman as Mr. Martin.
