FRANKLIN, W.Va. -- A massive house fire overnight in Pendleton County left two households homeless, but fortunately nobody was hurt.
The Franklin Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched late Monday evening to a home in the town of Franklin which erupted in flames. Authorities indicated the two story house was divided into two separate apartments. A family of seven lived in one apartment and an elderly man lived in the other.
All escaped safely, but the house was a total loss.
A cause for the fire remains under investigation.
