OneDosh activates US-Nigeria payment corridor in push for borderless payments

OneDosh has officially launched its cross-border payments platform in the United States and Nigeria, activating its first major payment corridor and marking a significant milestone in its drive to build a truly borderless global financial system.

The company announced that the service is now live across 49 U.S. states, with New York expected to follow soon. The launch positions OneDosh to serve one of the world's most active remittance and cross-border commerce corridors, linking Africa's largest economy with the United States.

For decades, cross-border payments have been plagued by delays, high fees, and limited transparency, often failing to reflect the increasingly global nature of modern work and commerce. While careers, businesses, and communities now operate across borders, financial systems have largely remained fragmented and locally constrained.

OneDosh said it was built specifically to close this gap by providing modern financial infrastructure designed for speed, transparency, and global usability from the outset. The platform leverages asset-backed stablecoin technology to enable individuals and businesses to send, receive, spend, and convert money across borders in seconds.

By offering real-time exchange rates and reducing dependence on traditional correspondent banking networks, OneDosh aims to eliminate many of the frictions associated with legacy payment systems. The company noted that the platform combines digital-first architecture with enterprise-grade compliance, robust know-your-customer (KYC) processes, and transparent security standards.

"Financial access should not be limited by geography," said Jackson Ukuevo, co-founder of OneDosh. He added that as people increasingly live global lives, financial systems must evolve to support global work, global families, and cross-border commerce without unnecessary barriers.

Designed for freelancers, professionals, and businesses operating in multiple markets, OneDosh supports use cases that are rapidly becoming the global norm. The OneDosh mobile app, available on iOS and Android, offers instant transfers, real-time foreign exchange, a global USD card compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay, as well as 24/7 AI-powered customer support.
