Punjab Police continue combing operations and mock exercises across the province including Lahore. Punjab Police spokesperson, while sharing details, said that during the past 24 hours, 249 combing operations were carried out across the province, during which 7,542 individuals were questioned, while 45 criminal elements were taken into custody.
During these operations, 573 proclaimed offenders, 168 court absconders, and 58 habitual criminals were also arrested.
IG Punjab Dr Usman Anwar stated that mock exercises are ongoing at churches, educational institutions, and other sensitive locations across the province including Lahore to further improve police response during emergency situations.
These emergency exercises are being participated in by the police, Bomb Disposal Squad, Rescue 1122, Elite Force, as well as other security institutions and agencies.
IG Punjab directed that the process of combing operations and mock exercises should be continued to hold anti-state and criminal elements accountable.
