New Delhi (Vishvas News). A viral video on social media allegedly shows actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan publicly questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding India's alleged military asset losses during 'Operation Sindoor'. The video purportedly features the actress asking why India lost "four Rafales, several fighter jets, two S-400 systems, and 300 soldiers" in the conflict with Pakistan.
Vishvas News's investigation found that this video is a deepfake. AI-generated audio has been superimposed onto the footage. The original video is from the centenary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh. In her actual address, Aishwarya made no mention of 'Operation Sindoor' or military losses.
X user 'Shaveta_Meena_Adv' shared the viral video on November 19, 2025. In it, Aishwarya Rai can allegedly be heard saying, "I want to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi, why did we lose six jets to Pakistan? Why did we lose four Rafales to Pakistan? Why did we lose two S-400 systems to Pakistan? Why did we lose 300 soldiers to Pakistan? Why did we lose a large part of our border in Kashmir and Rajasthan to Pakistan? Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we know the film industry doesn't get involved in politics, but this is something the country wants to know."

Swiss deep-tech company Aurigin.ai also reported a 50% chance that the audio is a deepfake.
We also spoke to Azhar Machwe, a researcher working in AI and emerging technologies, to confirm this. He also confirmed that the video was edited using AI.
