See Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Seth Meyers and Jimmy Fallon reunite
Amy Poehler reunited with Tina Fey and Seth Meyers behind the "Weekend Update" desk on "Saturday Night Live."
Poehler, who was a cast member on the late-night sketch comedy show from 2001 to 2008, returned to host for the third time on Oct. 11 alongside musical guest Role Model.
The episode featured a hilarious reunion with Poehler, Fey and Meyers, who all served as co-anchors on "Weekend Update" during their tenure at "SNL."
Fey co-anchored with alum Jimmy Fallon from 2000 to 2004 before she and Poehler took on the gig from 2004 to 2006. After Fey left "SNL" in 2006, Poehler continued at the "Update" desk with Meyers before her departure in 2008.
During the Oct. 11 episode, Poehler challenged current co-anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che to a "Weekend Update Joke Off" live on-air. In a surprise appearance, Fey and Meyers joined the actor behind the desk, with Poehler joking they were "my first wife and my second wife."
Both teams had the chance to create punchlines for a set-up about a woman in Tennessee giving birth to a 13-pound baby, with Poehler up first.
"A woman gave birth to a 13-pound baby, which was so big he slapped the doctor on his a--," Poehler said.
Fey quickly followed, adding, "A woman gave birth to a 13-pound baby and the new baby's name is AHHHHHHHHH!"
Meyers rounded out his group and buzzed in, "A woman gave birth to a 13-pound baby. Damn, did she give birth to it, or did it drive out?"
When it came time to switch to the current co-anchors, Che went first and decided to share a "fun fact" about the birth.
"The second the baby was out, the woman zipped around the room like a deflated balloon," Che said.
When it came time for Jost to contribute a joke, he added, "A woman gave birth to a 13-pound baby. The baby's nickname is Magician because it basically sawed his mother in half."
Poehler, Fey and Meyers ultimately took the gold in the joke off with the "Parks and Recreation" star's final, NSFW quip: "A woman in Tennessee broke a hospital record after giving birth to a 13-pound baby. The record was for loosest vagina and was previously held by me!"
Fey's "Weekend Update" cameo wasn't her only appearance during Poehler's hosting gig.
The "30 Rock" star also appeared in the show's cold open as Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, opposite Poehler's portrayal of Attorney General Pam Bondi.
Poehler's episode included several other celebrity cameos, including her "Parks and Recreation" co-star, Aubrey Plaza, who appeared in a pre-recorded sketch about "The Hunting Wives."
